Infestation from Head Lice

The head lice are known for feeding on the hair of the human head. These are prolific producers. There are some individuals who are more prone to these kinds of infestations. On the basis of the statistical researches, the girls are prone to this compared to the boys. Females are known to have hair longer than males as a result of which the head lice grow faster and multiples at rapid rates. The female hair is considered to be extremely ideal for lying of eggs.
Appearance of the head lice largely depends on the developmental stage the louse is in. altogether there are 3 levels of developmental stage. The first stage is an egg, the head lice tends to be of the size of grain of sand. The lice eggs are situated very close to the scalp of the human head. This is considered to be an extremely ideal position which helps the egg to survive.
The second stage of the head lice is the stage of nymph when the louse is about half the size of sesame seeds
The final and the third stage is the adult stage. The head lice at this point of time looks like an ant with abdomen, thorax as well as head. They are known for having a total of 6 legs.
A very commonly manifested symptom includes tickling sensations. You feel like something crawling in your head. The parasites can be extremely disturbing.
